What's so REAL about it?
A project of the Peasant Evolution Producers Cooperative (PEPC), our mobile shop distributes produce from small scale farms and local food producers in Devon, Dorset and Somerset to towns and villages around Bridport (and hopefully as far as Dorchester and Axminster!). Our aim is to help to reinvigorate our rural areas with natural, healthy food and to cultivate support for our dedicated local farms and businesses. Click here for more of our story.
The Real Food Shop will be launching our online shop with Open Food Network UK in the Spring of 2017.
We are seeking out suitable 'hubs' around the area for Friday collections.
For more information, do please get in touch.
From Saturday, 28th February, and for the forseeable, find us back on the Bridport Market streets for the first time since we packed in the market stall in back in 2013! the Dragon will be out at the top of West Street, just before the traffic lights (or just here on the map). See you there!
February 20th (Friday) marked our second introductory visit to River Cottage HQ near Axminster, from 4:30 to 6pm, with venison & chorizo sausage, Fairlie blue cheese, and a whole range of fresh-picked goodies on the shelves. And such a sunset view outside.
The Real Food Shop celebrates Food Future February with CLS in Dorset at the Bridport Arts Centre on the 4th, 11th & 25th!
Find more details on the LWA website about Save Our Seeds: A Gathering of Growers to Reclaim the Skill of Seed Saving, an event held in October, 2014 at Embercombe, Devon.
We're at Poundbury on Fridays from 12-2, guests of the Butter Market Bakery. How great is that?!
PEPC welcomed the Tolpuddle Pilgrims to Fivepenny and to Old Bidlake for a workday on Thursday, 17 July. Read more about the pilgrimage in the latest issue of STIR magazine, and drink them a toast with Gyle 59's commemorative Freedom Hiker beer, both available in the shop now!
